Courtyard Water Feature & Breathtaking Mountain Views

This mountain retreat in New Hampshire is located near Mounts Kearsarge and Sunapee. One of the most striking features of the property is the juxtaposition between the more intimate spaces of the backyard (the water feature courtyard, the vegetable garden) and the sweeping, majestic views of the mountains in the distance. The waterlily festooned pond of the water feature and the bluestone patio are both oriented to take advantage of the mountain view. The homeowners utilized an incremental approach to the creation of their landscape — each year over consecutive seasons they asked Ted Carter Inspired Landscapes to design and install another portion of the property. The project work started with the main entrance to the house and concluded with the creation of the water feature and adjacent vegetable garden.
